‘Uhm Ji-seong, Ko Young-jun, and Lee Tae-seok’…2023 GROUND.NK League Youth Championship opens

 The ‘2023 GROUND.NK League Youth Championship’, a midsummer soccer festival in which all the youth players of the K League are mobilized, kicks off.

The K-League Youth Championship is a competition in which all youth clubs under all K-League clubs participate, starting in 2015 and celebrating its ninth this year. The K-League Youth Championship has produced numerous K-League prospects. Um Ji-seong (Gwangju), who won the K-League 2 Young Player Award last year, Go Young-jun (Pohang), and Lee Tae-seok (Seoul) are all from this tournament.

The K-League U18 and U17 Championship, a high school competition, will be held in Cheonan, Chungcheongnam-do for a total of 14 days from the 15th (Sat) to the 28th (Thu). The 18-year-old competition, in which 24 teams participate, is divided into a total of 6 groups, goes through the group stage, and goes through a round of 16 tournament.

Twenty teams participate in the U17 Championship, a junior competition. The six groups will play the group stage, go through the quarterfinal tournament, and play the final at the Cheonan Soccer Center on the 28th (Fri) at 6:00 pm.

The K-League U15 and U14 Championships, a middle school competition, will be held from the 9th (Wed) to the 21st (Mon) of next month in Cheonan, South Chungcheong Province. The 15-year-old competition, in which 23 teams participate, is divided into a total of six groups, and after the group stage, the quarter-final tournament will be held, and the final will be held on August 21 (Mon) at 8:30 pm at the Cheonan Soccer Center. A total of 21 teams will participate in the U14 competition for lower grades, go through the group stage and play the quarterfinals tournament.

The high school and middle school competitions will be broadcast live from the tournament on the official K-League Youth YouTube channel, and the finals will also be broadcast live on TV through the Sky Sports channel.

The elementary school K-League U12 and U11 Championships will be held in Yeongdeok-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do for a total of 7 days from the 14th (Fri) to the 20th (Thu) of this month. A total of 24 teams participate in the U12 competition, and a total of 23 teams participate in the U11 competition, and one final round is played after the group stage.
