With the future of Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James unclear for the 2023-2024 season, calls have been made to trade James to the Golden State (GSW) Warriors.
Colin Cowherd, a sports commentator 메이저놀이터 for Fox TV in the U.S., argued on his podcast on Friday (Aug. 25) that a trade of James for Andrew Wiggins, Jordan Poole and Jonathan Cuming could be a “win-win” for both teams.
Cowherd said, “GSW is already old. Klay Thompson is 33, Steph Curry is 35, James is 38, and Draymond Green is 33. But GSW already got rid of James Wiseman. They’re not interested in the future.”
“GSW likes players with high IQs and veterans. They have to be on Curry’s timeline. GSW has a high-IQ offense, so you have to be able to play in their system. James should be able to fit in well.”
“The Lakers, with Rui Hachimura, Anthony Davis, Wiggins, Kuminga and Austin Reeves, could be very effective,” he continued.
GSW won the title in 2015, lost the Finals to the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2016, then acquired Kevin Durant and won the Finals in 2017 and 2018.
Cowherd apparently believes James can lead GSW to a championship, just as Durant did.
